Cuartel Del Conde~Duque is located in Madrid, Spain. The royal guard is an elite group of army personnel made up of 600 soldiers and 400 horses. It was built in the early 18th century for King Philip V. It has amazing architecture throughout the building. Cuartel Del Conde fell into ruins after the death of Gaspar de Guzmán, which the complex was named after. In 1969 Julio Cano Lasso redesigned it. The barracks house the cites Museum of Contemporary Art.
